This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. While some publishers have opted to apply OCR (optical character recognition) technology to the process, we believe this leads to sub-optimal results (frequent typographical errors, strange characters and confusing formatting) and does not adequately preserve the historical character of the original artifact. We believe this work is culturally important in its original archival form. While we strive to adequately clean and digitally enhance the original work, there are occasionally instances where imperfections such as blurred or missing pages, poor pictures or errant marks may have been introduced due to either the quality of the original work or the scanning process itself. Despite these occasional imperfections, we have brought it back into print as part of our ongoing global book preservation commitment, providing customers with access to the best possible historical reprints. We appreciate your understanding of these occasional imperfections, and sincerely hope you enjoy seeing the book in a format as close as possible to that intended by the original publisher.

First, yes, there are a few issues. One, a time or two the writing got difficult to follow but overall it was easy to understand. Two, he went on the eye tangent like I've seen other psychologists do but his didn't seem to be as bad. Three, there were a few times when it seemed like a fig. was supposed to be present but wasn't so you had to try and imagine the info on your own.The chapters were a good length with plenty of breakpoints in between that were nice if you had to put it down for awhile. The review questions and references at the end of each set were nice, I answered the questions mentally myself but they'd work as something more like classwork too, the references were interesting and I even tried to look up one, though unsuccessfully.
He mentions Freud and others and seems to be fair in his judgements, such as that Freud made helpful contributions but had too narrow of a view that doesn't cover different situations effectively.
It was an interesting and satisfying read, I found his ideas agreeable. He was not judgemental or aggressive but simply pointed out fair logic with good nature.

Psychology; a study of mental life Robert Sessions Woodworth Books Reviews
The formatting of the book was rather challenging to follow, but other than that the content was better than I expected.
Thank you
Good read
Great book
Not a bad little book, actually.
Great book if your looking for an introduction into psychology
One of the classic texts of 20th Century Psychology. Much is still quite valid despite the time and perhaps explained more learning than today's more "graphic" texts.
